Embassy of Armenia Hosts the Traditional Christmas Open House

The Embassy of Armenia hosted the traditional Christmas Open House reception and concert on January 11, 2008, with a performance by Armenian singer Noune Karapetian and pianist Levon Hovsepian. Heads of the Armenian-American political organizations and members of the Armenian community of Washington, D.C. attended the reception.

Welcoming the guests to the Embassy Open House, Ambassador Tatoul Markarian expressed his best wishes for a happy New Year 2008 and Armenian Christmas and introduced the talented Armenian musicians. Ms. Karapetian and Mr. Hovsepian then performed several pieces from the classical and modern Armenian and international repertoire, to great acclaim from the audience.
