Catholicos Aram I Visits Embassy of Armenia in Washington, D.C.

On October 26, 2005, His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, visited the Embassy of Armenia in Washington , D.C., as part of his tour of the United States. Accompanying the Catholicos were Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan of the Eastern Prelacy, Rev. Father Sarkis Aktavoukian of Bethesda 's Soorp Khatch Armenian Apostolic Church , and other church and civic leaders of the Eastern Prelacy.

Bestowing his blessings, Catholicos Aram I wished success to Armenia 's diplomatic mission in the United States in defending the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people. Ambassador Tatoul Markarian expressed his appreciation for Catholicos Aram I's visit to the Embassy and wished success to His Holiness during his tour of the U.S. and in his important mission.
