Visa Application Guidelines

General Information

To travel to Armenia, please obtain a Visa from the Consular Section at our Embassy in Washington, DC or Armenia’s Consulate General in Los Angeles

Documents Required

To obtain a visa please submit the following to the Embassy or Consulate General
Application		A completed visa application form (one per applicant)
Photograph		1 recent professional color passport-size photograph, stapled or glued to the application form
Passport Other documents		The original Passport valid for at least the next 6 months If traveling with any Travel Document other than the National Passport or a UNLP (i.e. Permit To Reenter the United States, Refugee Travel Document), please be sure to submit the photocopy of Birth Certificate and detailed street address of stay in the Republic of Armenia. The holders of the above-mentioned Travel Documents, who are originally from Armenia, will not be granted entry visas. According to the Law they are considered citizens of the Republic of Armenia and must possess a valid Armenian passport. If applying for a Transit visa you must submit a photocopy of a valid visa for the country of main destination and/or airline tickets.
Method of Payment		MONEY ORDER or CERTIFIED CHECK in US Dollars payable to the Embassy/Consulate General of Armenia. (Please, refrain from sending cash. Credit cards and personal checks are not accepted. Consulate General in California accepts money orders only ! )
If applying by mail		Please include in your original shipment: ü PREPAID PREADDRESSED RETURN ENVELOPE of any registered mail with a tracking number or ü Separate MONEY ORDER or CHECK payable to the Embassy/Consulate General in the amount of US$20.00, if overnight FedEx service is requested We regret for not being able to assume any responsibility for documents while in delivery by mail
Types of Visa, Duration of Stay, Fee Schedule and Processing Time If You plan to stay in Armenia for a period … ü … Not exceeding 3 days – and if your stay in Armenia is associated with your travel plans to and from another destination, you may wish to apply for a Transit Visa, provided that you possess a valid entry document to the country of your main destination. ü … Not exceeding 120 days, we will gladly process your application for a single or multiple entry Visitor Visa without an invitation letter. ü … Exceeding 120 days, please apply to the Passport and Visa Department at the Police Service of Armenia for a Temporary Residence Card (Address – 13 A Mashtots Street, Yerevan, Armenia; Tel. (3741) 53-43-91 or (3741) 52-14-16). If You have an invitation to travel to Armenia … ü … Please make sure that your inviting party has verified the invitation for official travelers at the Consular Department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry; for private travelers (Visitors visa) - at the Passport and Visa Department of the Police Service in Yerevan). Confirmations for official travelers are received at the Embassy or Consulate General via Internet. Private traveler must submit the original invitation form. If Your stay in Armenia is associated with your travel plans to and from another destination on the territory of any other Newly Independent State (NIS) … ü … Please be advised that travel to and transit through each NIS country requires a separate national visa. If You are under age 18 … ü … We will process your application free of charge. You are responsible for shipment only.

ü … Visa processing fee is not refundable

ü … US$30.00 will be assessed for any checks returned as unpaid

ü … Paperwork submitted in the manner different from the above will not be accepted

ü … Visa processing starts only after we have collected all necessary documents

ü … Processing times, requirements and fees are subject to change without notice

ü … Diplomatic and Official visas are extended at the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia (Address - Republic Square, Government Building 2, Yerevan, Armenia; Tel.: (374-1) 526-950), Visitors visas – at the Passport and Visa Department of the Police Service of Armenia (Address – 13 A Mashtots Street, Yerevan, Armenia; Tel. (3741) 53-43-91 or (3741) 52-14-16).
