On April 9, Armenian President Robert Kocharian met with President of the United
States of America George Bush, in Washington, DC.
2 May 9-10, 2001 President Robert Kocharian
led a delegation to New York to participate in the “New York
Investment Forum” on the investment opportunities
in Armenia, organized on the initiative of the Armenian and US Governments and
sponsored by the World Bank, U.S. Trade and Development Agency, and International
Financial Corporation.
June 15, 2001 First Armenian Products Expo in Glendale, California, held under
the auspices of the Armenian American Chamber of Commerce, with participation
of 24 Armenian companies.
2 September
11, 2001 President Robert Kocharian expressed his condolences and
solidarity with the American people after terrorist attacks in his
letter addressed to President George W. Bush.
2 September
19, 2001 Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian offered “Armenia’s
full support and concrete cooperation” in the US led anti-terrorism
campaign in his letter addressed to Secretary of State Colin L. Powell.
2 November 20, 2001 During his visit
to the United States Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian signed a “Memorandum
of Understanding between the Republic of Armenia and the State of
California” with Governor of California Gray
Davis.

H. Rumsfeld’s visit to
Armenia.
March 18-23, 2002 Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian’s visit to
the United States. During the visit Minister Sargsian signed a Statement on
Bilateral Defense Consultations.

25-26, 2000 Visit of the delegation led by Ambassador William Taylor,
Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to the New Independent States. U.S.-Armenia
Task Force on Economic Reform was founded with signing of a Memorandum
of Cooperation between the Governments of the two countries.
2 June 25-July 2, 2000 President R. Kocharian’s

During the visit Minister Sargsian signed an “Agreement Between
the Government of the United States of America and the Government
